The restaurant is beautiful and set in a really pretty area. Went to try the shrimp and grits. While the shrimp were delicious, the grits had no flavor and had a soupy texture. Not our favorite, however the southwest bean soup if the day was awesome!! The choice of desserts were amazing. Had a little bit of trouble with the service, but nothing that was not addressed and fixed. If we come back next time we might try something else.

Came in today with my God mom. We we greeted and sat promptly. Our table needed an extra wipe down. Our server, Tyler, was nice. I ordered the shrimp and grits along with the Smoky Mountain pancakes. I was impressed with the grits. They didn't need any seasoning. I could really taste the sweet potato in the pancakes. My God mom ordered the grilled chicken salad. She enjoyed it. We also ordered the cake of the month, Blueberry honey cake, and the pecan pie. WOW. This is a great diner but an even better dessertery π I ordered the kitchen sink cookies and the oatmeal raisin cookies to go. Can't wait to try them π. We will be back!

My first time and it was for a belated birthday meal so I chose something unusual, pound cake French Toast with berries! I added eggs and turkey sausage to prevent a sugar rush, delish. My coffee cup was always topped off and the waitress, a Czech woman, said she wanted to make sure I wanted to come back. She was very helpful. I will come try a brunch or pancake item next time.

We had such a wonderful experience at Midtown Cafe & Dessertery! From the moment we walked in, the staff was so friendly! From the hostess to especially our server, Wendy! She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed! We ordered the French Toast, Avocado Toast, the Special Burger with fries, and iced coffees. Everything was absolutely delicious! Not pictured was the BEST slice of cake β the 5 Layer Pound Cake! Itβs a secret recipe thatβs been around for 30 years, and you can definitely tell whyβ¦ it was incredible! We absolutely loved our visit and will definitely be back to try more menu items. We also canβt wait to try more desserts! Highly recommend stopping by if youβre in the area!

I really love it here, food is always great! The service tonight was exceptional. Ryan H. was very welcoming and helpful. My girlfriend and I ordered the crab cakes and grits, 9 out of 10, and the big crispy chicken sandwich 9.5 out of 10. The first sandwich that came was really tough and stringy. I asked if that was normal and Ryan said "no, we've never had a problem" he took it back and remade it and it is in fact exceptional, one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Thanks to the cooks and staff for making this a great visit! Will be back! Highly recommended!!!
